Gemma & Ben

One of the things that I love most about what I do is the relationships I form with my wonderful clients - sharing such a huge life moment such as weddings has a funny way of building a bond! So having photographed Gemma and Ben’s wedding back in 2018, I was SO excited when Gemma got in touch to let me know that she was expecting a baby and would like me to photograph her gorgeous bump!

It was so special to see Gemma and Ben again at such a magical time in their lives - it felt just like meeting up with old friends. We planned the shoot for golden hour (my favourite time of day!)… but little did we know that we’d find ourselves in the middle of a heatwave! Poor Gemma was really quite pregnant by then at 34 weeks and was a real champion to brave the 30-degree heat for our photoshoot.

We took a (gentle) stroll around Dunorlan Park together; the light was just beautiful and Gemma was radiant, glowing in the best possible way. Ben, of course, was bursting with pride and it was a genuine joy to see them together, preparing to become parents. Such a special time in their lives, and a pleasure to photograph them. I’m delighted to say that not long after the shoot, handsome little Lucas was born! Congratulations Gemma, Ben and little baby Lucas!
