engagement shoots

What better way for us to get to know each other and for you to get comfy in front of the camera than with an engagement shoot? And you’ll get a beautiful collection of images of the two of you as nearly-weds!

Engagement shoots last around an hour, and usually take place outside. I’ve several parks I love to use for engagement shoots, but if you’ve a location in mind that holds meaning to you, I’m all ears!

Frequently asked questions

  • I’m based in Kent, but will happily travel!

  • Gladly! I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings so I’ve all sorts of hints and tips for making sure your day runs beautifully. Over the years I’ve met some incredible suppliers too, and will happily introduce you to florists, celebrants, make up artists and pretty much anyone else you might need for your day!

  • We won’t let a bit of rain spoil a good party! I’m always prepped for all weathers – and some of the most atmospheric shots are caught on days when the weather is a bit iffy.

  • Yes please! Photographing a wedding is an endurance sport and I need to keep my energy up, so a hot meal will be greatly appreciated.

  • If you have a large family and would like more than 5 group photos, I suggest saving some of the extended family shots until after the wedding breakfast so that family portrait time will not interfere with your romantic portraits and we don’t overrun.

  • If things accidentally overrun on the day, or you decide you’d like me to stay longer, you can add additional hours at a rate of £150 per hour.

  • Yes! A second photographer can be booked to capture more of your day for £150 per hour (minimum of 2 hours)

  • No. Every image in your gallery will be hand edited by me, delivered as high resolution jpegs that can be downloaded in high quality for printing, or web size for sharing on social media.

  • As soon as the sun sets on your wedding day, I know you’ll be desperate to see your photos! With your permission, I’ll post a sneak peek on Facebook a few days after your wedding date – perfect to share with friends and family! As every image collection is edited by hand, your full gallery will be ready approximately 6-8 weeks after your wedding.

  • I have a great relationship with a number of local photographers. If I was unable to photograph a wedding, (which has never happened before) I would make every effort to provide a suitable professional photographer for the day, but I would still edit everything for you.

  • No, but I can highly recommend Cut Above Productions. I can’t stress enough how important it is to choose a videographer who can not only create the visual style that you’re looking for, but will respect those they’re working with and not get in the way! I have worked together with Cut Above Productions on lots of weddings and their style complements mine – plus they’re an absolute joy to have around.

  • Yes! It’s really important to me that we’re a good fit and that you are happy with the way I work and my style before you book. It’s also a great opportunity to get to know each other too!

  • Unfortunately, I don’t offer discounts because the same amount of work goes into each wedding, regardless of what day it is. I do limit the number of weddings I take on each year as I like to pour all of my time and attention into doing the best possible work for each one.

  • Of course! You can order an album whenever you like. Your first wedding anniversary is paper so that always makes for a brilliant anniversary gift to each other!
