Helen & Phil's Wedding - High Rocks, Tunbridge Wells
Helen and Phil chose High Rocks for their beautiful summer wedding. They booked my second shooter package so I was extremely excited to work with my fantastic second shooter Dave! Dave and I love photographing weddings together and we had an absolute blast capturing Helen & Phil’s day. (There’s a cheeky selfie of us working at the end of the gallery!)
On the day I caught up with Helen who was getting ready at The Tunbridge Wells Retreat Hotel and got some lovely bridal prep images. Helen looked gorgeous in her lace detail dress that had an elegant v neckline and made her look so effortlessly glamorous. She smiled all day long and I love smiley brides!
The ceremony was held at Hope Strict Baptist Chapel in Blackboys, which unfortunately we weren’t allowed to photograph. However, we did manage to capture some images of Phil and his groomsmen (I loved the socks!) and of the guests as they arrived and after the ceremony. Then everybody headed to High Rocks for the reception which looked so amazing all dressed and ready for Helen and Phil’s celebrations.
I love shooting weddings at High Rocks. It’s such a breathtakingly beautiful venue regardless of the time of year and I love the way the rocks provide a beautiful and unique backdrop for photos.
As Helen and Phil’s guests enjoyed a drinks reception we quickly whisked them away to get some lovely images of them by the rocks before reuniting them in time for their wedding breakfast. The reception saw some delicious food being served and some emotional, funny and very well received speeches, including one by Helen.
We were blessed with the most perfect sunshine in the evening so we HAD to go back up to the rocks to make the most of the low light and create some really romantic portrait images. We had the rocks all to ourselves which allowed Helen and Phil to really relax and allowed us to get some fantastic shots. They are definitely my favourites of the day!
