Claudia & Richard’s wedding - Penshurst Place, Penshurst
The sun shone brightly for Claudia & Richard’s incredible wedding, and what a day we all had!
We spent the whole day in the pretty village of Penshurst, which offers so much heritage and character despite being so small. Claudia got ready at the Leicester Arms before heading across the road to the gorgeous historic church for the ceremony… and then a short skip across the fields to Penshurst Place where its grand halls and manicured gardens provide the most romantic (and impressive) backdrop.
I was last at Penshurst Place in November when the weather was pretty different… so to return on a day with blue skies and the gardens in full bloom was such a treat. The gardens at Penshurst are very special. With records dating back to 1346, they’re one of the oldest gardens in England and have been carefully tended for by generations of devoted gardeners. This time of year, the borders are overflowing with blooms – and the roses in particular make for a stunning show. The ideal spot for some romantic couple photos! I absolutely loved roaming the gardens with Claudia & Richard, and could’ve spent hours out there with them!
The day was truly magical from start to finish, with so many gorgeous details and personal touches carefully considered by Claudia. I always love it when the couple have made the effort to really personalise their day and add even more meaning to it – its so special! They ended their celebrations with a fab ceilidh in the evening which got everyone up on the dance floor, creating a brilliant moment to capture. What a way to finish!
