Bethan & James’s Wedding - Hever Castle, hever, Edenbridge
Bethan and James’ Hever Castle wedding was originally supposed to take place in the spring, but you can imagine my delight when they told me they were moving their date to October. Hever Castle in peak Autumn?! Yes please!!
I was especially honoured to be asked to shoot this wedding; Bethan works at Hever Castle and has seen hundreds of beautiful weddings take place there. This no doubt would have led to high expectations so I was flattered that Bethan and James chose me! Nonetheless, I felt the pressure to get those epic shots for them.
We had hoped for a classic autumn golden hour which sadly didn’t materialise… but instead, Mother Nature lit up the sky at sunset, bathing the gardens and grounds in the most amazing light that photographers obsess about. Illuminating all of the already stunning autumn leaves, and painting the old stone walls the most beautiful shades, the sunset made for the most perfect conditions. I could’ve spent hours walking the grounds with these two! Their beloved dog Hugo even joined us, looking super dapper in his flower collar.
