2018 Favourite Wedding Moments

Aaaaaghhhh!!! I can’t tell you how excited I am to share this!!! My favourite moments of 2018 yaaaaaay!! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE doing this each year it really makes me smile LOTS! Going through all of my weddings from the last year is so rewarding, seeing how many amazing people I have worked with and how lucky I am to be a part of all these special memories :)

My first selection was over 1000 images!!!!!! So it’s been extremely hard (as always!) and taken me weeks to whittle it down to just over 100!

What a year it has been!!! I remember saying this time last year that I had a lot planned, so I’m feeling very proud that I can now look back having achieved everything I set out to! I rebranded…. a HUGE task but I did it!!! I couldn’t be happier with my new brand I am SO happy that I did it. New website, a fresh new look for my wedding fairs, designed my own new brochures, new flyers, created an app, new office, promo video, I could go on!!!

The last year has also seen a lot more of my super second shooter Dave!! It’s been so much fun working with him and a great excuse to buy more camera equipment haha! Bringing him on board has been a huge success and we are very excited to have lots of weddings booked together for the next couple of years.

I couldn’t possibly finish this post without mentioning that other little thing that happened this year…….  To be voted Kent’s best photographer in the Muddy Stiletto awards was AMAZING!!! Super chuffed about that! Thank you to everyone who voted for me! I also won Photographer of the Year Highly Commended at the Kent Wedding Awards, (YAY!) and was extremely proud to be a finalist at The Wedding Industry Awards! To be recognised for all my hard work really is an amazing feeling and makes me very happy! I strive to always do the best work possible, quality is key and I work hard to make sure I always give every couple the best that I can.

Thank you SO SO much for everyone’s support it is always appreciated and never goes unnoticed!

Here’s to a fantastic 2019!!!

I wonder if I can catch up on my blogging now I’ve got all of my branding done??!!! (Does anyone ever catch up with their blogging??)

Stef & James' Wedding - Archbishops Palace & The Black Horse Inn

On 13th April I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Stef & James’ gorgeous wedding at The Archbishops Palace and The Black Horse Inn. From the first email I received from Stef I just knew this wedding was going to be amazing as she described it as a small affair jam-packed with flowers and a vintage twist! They were so down to earth and bubbly and I knew that their small intimate wedding was going to suit their relaxed and chilled out personalities perfectly. The more they told me about their special day, the more excited I became!

On the day of the wedding I went to Stef’s mums house where Stef was getting ready. It was just her and her mum along with her stylists together so there was none of the chaos that can sometimes happen with a room full of bridesmaids! And there was something really special about it just being her and her mum.

I walked into the room where her dress was patiently waiting to be worn and I have to say, I have seen a lot of dresses but this one literally took my breath away! It was just stunning and I knew that Stef was going to look incredible in it! And her shoes!!! Oh my goodness, her shoes…I don’t think I’ve ever spent so much time photographing a brides shoes before! They were amazeballs! And they were the perfect complement to her tea dress style.

Their ceremony took place at The Archbishops Palace in Maidstone which was lovely and intimate with only 11 guests! After the ceremony we were able to get loads of gorgeous shots around the grounds. I LOVE the little herb garden and with it being April there were beautiful blossoms everywhere and everything looked so fresh. Despite Stef & James not being used to being in front of a camera they were fantastic. We just had such a laugh together and the love between them was so clear to see. They truly were a dream to photograph.

Their wedding reception was held at the Black Horse Inn in Thurnham and although it was such a small wedding with just close family and friends, they had still made such a huge effort with all their little details and had everything they wanted. It was so pretty. And the smell of the flowers as you walked into the room was incredible. They had flowers EVERYWHERE! And they looked so striking. We did some group shots in the garden before their speeches and then I left them to continue on their day.

I’m so happy to have met them and to have had the honour of photographing their day. Congratulations guys! You are awesome!
