2018 Favourite Wedding Moments

Aaaaaghhhh!!! I can’t tell you how excited I am to share this!!! My favourite moments of 2018 yaaaaaay!! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE doing this each year it really makes me smile LOTS! Going through all of my weddings from the last year is so rewarding, seeing how many amazing people I have worked with and how lucky I am to be a part of all these special memories :)

My first selection was over 1000 images!!!!!! So it’s been extremely hard (as always!) and taken me weeks to whittle it down to just over 100!

What a year it has been!!! I remember saying this time last year that I had a lot planned, so I’m feeling very proud that I can now look back having achieved everything I set out to! I rebranded…. a HUGE task but I did it!!! I couldn’t be happier with my new brand I am SO happy that I did it. New website, a fresh new look for my wedding fairs, designed my own new brochures, new flyers, created an app, new office, promo video, I could go on!!!

The last year has also seen a lot more of my super second shooter Dave!! It’s been so much fun working with him and a great excuse to buy more camera equipment haha! Bringing him on board has been a huge success and we are very excited to have lots of weddings booked together for the next couple of years.

I couldn’t possibly finish this post without mentioning that other little thing that happened this year…….  To be voted Kent’s best photographer in the Muddy Stiletto awards was AMAZING!!! Super chuffed about that! Thank you to everyone who voted for me! I also won Photographer of the Year Highly Commended at the Kent Wedding Awards, (YAY!) and was extremely proud to be a finalist at The Wedding Industry Awards! To be recognised for all my hard work really is an amazing feeling and makes me very happy! I strive to always do the best work possible, quality is key and I work hard to make sure I always give every couple the best that I can.

Thank you SO SO much for everyone’s support it is always appreciated and never goes unnoticed!

Here’s to a fantastic 2019!!!

I wonder if I can catch up on my blogging now I’ve got all of my branding done??!!! (Does anyone ever catch up with their blogging??)

Sirin & Max's Wedding - Aberdeen House

Sirin & Max had their beautiful intimate wedding on the 21st May last year at the very beautiful Aberdeen House in Ramsgate. I had worked with Sirin before so I was delighted when she asked me to photograph her wedding to Max, and even more delighted when she shared with me the wonderful news that they were expecting their first baby!

I hadn’t shot a wedding at Aberdeen House before and on my pre-wedding reccie I was struck with how pretty it was, with a stunning garden, gorgeous creeping vines around the doorways, and a cute little wooden gazebo in the small grounds. I knew their pictures were going to look magical and as they were having such a small and intimate ceremony, the charming surroundings of their venue was only going to add to the romantic atmosphere.

The day of the wedding arrived and Sirin looked sensational in a short, elegant dress that showed off her neat little bump perfectly. They say that you glow when you’re pregnant but combining that with it being her wedding day meant that Sirin looked radiant, and the happiness she was so clearly feeling filled the room. It was obvious from Max’s expression that he completely adored her, too.

After the ceremony, we did a few shots with their family and close friends and then we wandered around the grounds for their couple shots and the little wooden gazebo looked just as dreamy as I’d hoped it would. Then the happy couple went off for their wedding reception in Whitstable where a fabulous time was had by all.

Sirin and Max went on to have a handsome little boy called Kai and I love seeing regular updates on Facebook of their little family. I hope I get to photograph them as a family soon!

Liz & Richard's Wedding - St Clere Estate

Liz & Richard had their fabulous wedding on May 7th 2016 at St Clere Estate in Sevenoaks. It was a venue I had never shot at before and when we visited prior to the wedding I was blown away by the stunning house and gardens. I couldn’t wait for their wedding day!

The day of the wedding was just perfect, when I arrived at the venue I was greeted by blossom falling from the trees, creating a blanket of tiny white petals, it almost looked like freshly fallen snow but fortunately much less cold!

The ceremony itself was small and intimate, with just 8 guests. There was something about it being such a small party that made it so personal, you could feel the love radiating from the people who were there, and it was such a calm and relaxed atmosphere.

After the ceremony, there were canapes and bubbles served and I took this opportunity to sneak off with the newly-weds for a few pics of the two of them together. We wandered around the grounds and they just could not stop smiling! There were so many beautiful spots for their pictures as we walked along. Gorgeous natural tree archways, and everywhere the fresh colours of spring, including the field next door which was an ocean of yellow oil seeds…an absolute photographer’s dream and such a stunning backdrop!

The evening reception was held at the George and Dragon pub in Chipstead and it was here that they were joined by more close friends and family. The speeches were brilliant and I loved how chilled out and laidback it was, it reflected Liz and Richard perfectly. You could tell that all the people who were there felt honoured to be sharing their special day.

After the meal and speeches, we went outside where Liz and Richard had arranged for everyone to have sparklers which was amazing! I just LOOVVVEEE sparklers! I left as the party was really getting going and the dancefloor was filled with happy people and smiley faces.

Thanks so much for letting me be a part of your special day, guys! It was truly amazing and I wish you a lifetime of happiness!
