Zumba At Putlands

I recently photographed a few of the classes at Putlands Sports and Leisure Centre in Paddock Wood for their website and facebook. Here are some of the images from the Zumba class with Louise.

‘Zumba is a dance fitness program created by Colombian dancer and choreographer Alberto "Beto" Perez during the 1990s. Zumba involves dance and aerobic movements performed to energetic music. The choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue and mambo. Squats and lunges are also included.’

Body Pump at Putlands

Here are the photos I took of the Body Pump class with Leisha at Putlands! I LOVE Body Pump! I first did it in Australia back in 2004 and have been doing it at Putlands ever since :-)

'BodyPump is a weight-based group-fitness program, created and distributed globally by Les Mills International. 

BodyPump classes are 60 minutes long and contain eight separate muscle-group specific songs or "tracks" along with an opening warm up track and closing cool-down track. There are also 45-minute and 30-minute class formats.

The classes are performed to music using free weights-plates, barbells and an aerobic step. Participants choose their weights based on the exercise and their personal goals. Major muscle groups are worked via series of compound and isolation-based exercises including squats, presses and dead lifts. The focus is towards muscle endurance by moving light weights at high repetitions.'

Insanity at Putlands

I was recently asked to photograph a few of the classes at Putlands Sports and Leisure Centre in Paddock Wood for their website and facebook. I have been going to Putlands for about 20 years and attend a lot of the classes, so I was thrilled they asked me! :-)

Here are some of the images from the Insanity class with Rebecca. I love the class, but it is definitely hard work! I must admit it was nice to get out of it for a week to take photos haha ;-)

‘Insanity is a high intensity workout, you work flat out in 3 to 5 minute blocks, and take breaks only long enough to gulp some air and get right back to work. It's called Max Interval Training, because it keeps your body working at maximum capacity through your entire workout.’
